Below is the Itinerary :

Day 1: Arrival

PICK UP FROM THE AIRPORT THEN TRANSFER TO THE HOTEL TO SPEND THE NIGHT

Day 2: Azouega

After breakfast and at 8:30 AM, Drive from Nouakchott in the direction of the big and beautiful dunes of Azouega, situated in the heart of the Adrar region. Enjoy, the scenery, as you go and the breathtaking

landscapes, stop for pictures any time you want. Then have your lunch break in the caves of Akjoujt, a mining town, then continue to arrive before sunset to Azouega. Once arrive, spend the rest of the day, discovering the area go up on the dunes to see the dazzling sunset, for a breathtaking panorama, in

the meantime, the team will set the camp at the foot of the Dune.

End of day 2

Day 3: Scenic Landscapes of Mauritania - Erg Amatlich

Full day dedicated to crossing one of the more scenic landscapes of Mauritania: valleys, high mountains, and yellow dunes.

Erg Amatlich is a vast dune basin trapped between the Adrar mountains. In addition to endless dunes, the region gathers various Saharan landscapes such as canyons, tiny cultivable oases, and palm groves.

Pass by Tifoujar. Tifoujar Pass dominates a vast and steep gorge, remains of an ancient river ending in the Oued el Abiod or White Valley. Dune-filled fault line along which small settlements and palm groves are hidden.

Then continue to arrive at Terjit oasis, an oasis that nestles in a gorge on the western edge of Adrar plateau with the palm grove stretching a few hundred meters alongside a stream that emerges from a spring, with its charm and fresh water and shade you will be blown away. Have lunch there and spend some time relaxing and swimming if you want to.

Then you will drive towards Chinguity.

Chinguity was an ancient caravan terminal and a major trading point between North and sub-Saharan Africa. This ancient Village backdate to the 11th century contains old manuscripts and is the second oldest mosque in Africa. Overnight in Chinguity.

End of day 3.

Day 4: Atar

After breakfast, You will visit two of the oldest libraries in Mauritania. The libraries contain a treasure of knowledge and manuscripts. And the old mosque.

Then you will drive towards Atar, On the way you will pass by Amogjar where you will see the prehistoric rock paintings and see Fort Sagana, an old citadel that was built to film a film about colonialism in Mauritania. Have lunch on the way. After lunch continue the journey. Once you arrive in Atar, you visit the market. Then go to the accommodation to get some rest for the next day.

End of day 4.

Day 5: Zouerat

An early departure is required, right after breakfast you will drive towards Zouerat, the mining city to get a ride on the Iron ore train, the longest and slowest train in the world. You will arrive at Zouerat right before noon and wait for the train. You will ride the train until Choum, about 6 6-hour ride. Once you arrive in Choum, you will be taken to the accommodation to have a fresh shower and have some rest.

Day 6: Nouakchott

Full-day driving to Nouakchott. Have lunch on the way. Once arrive in Nouakchott, you will go to the hotel for some rest and get ready for your flight.
