Day 1: Nouakchott

Nouakchott city is the capital and the biggest city in Mauritania. In this tour, you will be visiting the national museum which displays archeology, artifacts customs, and textiles from prehistory to the present days of Mauritania.

You will also visit the Saudi mosque. Not only that, you will also visit the camel market, and the gallery Zein Arts. Then after lunch, you will drive to Akjoujout 250km from Nouakchott where you will spend the night.

End of day 1.

Day 2: Akjoujout to Azouega

Day two is full of sightseeing. You will drive from Akjoujout to Azouega one of the biggest dunes in Mauritania surrounded by a beautiful oasis. The views never cease to amaze you. Sometimes you are driving through the dunes and other times driving through rocky formations. You also pass by the Bedouins and have tea with them and converse with them.

After Azouaga you will pass Tivoujar a breathtaking canyon where you will have a break for lunch and some rest. After that, you drive through the white valley towards Terjit where you will stay for the night.

Day 3: Terjit Oasis

After breakfast, you will go to see the oasis Terjit oasis nestled in a gorge on the western edge of the Adrar plateau with the palm grove stretching a few hundred meters alongside a stream that emerges from a spring. With its charm, fresh water, and shade you be blown away. After you finish the visit, you will drive to Mherith, one of the biggest Oases in the Adrar region where you will have lunch.

After lunch, you will drive towards Chinguity. On the way to Chinguity, you will pass by Amogjar where you will see the prehistoric rock paintings and see the fort Sagana, an old citadel that was built to film a film about colonialism in Mauritania. Then you continue to Chinguy. You will arrive by nightfall.

Day 4: Chinguity

After breakfast fast you will go to discover the city of Chinguity.

Chinguity was an ancient caravan terminal and a major trading point between North and Sub-Saharan Africa. This ancient Village backdate to the 11th century contains old manscripts and the second oldest mosque in Africa. You visit two of the oldest libraries in Mauritania. The libraries contain a treasure of knowledge and manuscripts. After visiting the libraries you will go to Temkemket Oasis to freshen up and have lunch. After you have lunch and rest you will do some camel trekking.

Camels will be waiting for you to ride on, the camel with take you to the Guity Dune where you will have an overview of the city and behold the beauty of the sunset over the city. Then you will go back to the guest house for dinner. After dinner, you will go to a small Mauritanian music ceremony.

Day 5: Ouadane

After breakfast, you will drive towards Ouadane passing by Tenouchert, an oasis in the middle of the desert for a tea break.

Ouadane. Ouadane built on Rocky Hill is the most remoteest Oasis of Mauritania an outpost facing the immensity of the desert was founded in 1147. Mainly in ruins some of its own houses are still inhabited. Then you will visit Guelb Richat

It's also known as the eye of the Sahara/ the eye of Africa: the site and its prominent circular shape have a question for scientists. 40 km ( about 25 miles) is the circumference of the largest of three concentric circles, with a dome in the center. The most recent theory believes that it was a giant volcano that collapsed and eroded.

You will spend the night in Ouadane.

Day 6: Atar - Choum - Bin Amera

You will have an early breakfast then drive to Atar then Choum then Bin Amera where you will have lunch. Ben Amera Ben Amera is the second largest solid stone in the world. This gigantic Monolith is about 633 meters ( 2027ft) above the desert floor. It lies 4km north of the train track. Nearby, there's a lesser monolith called AÏSHA which lies 20 minutes drive to the west of Ben Amera.

After lunch, you will go back to Atar or Choum where you will spend the night.

Day 7: Departure

After breakfast, you drive to NOUAKCHOTT. Arrive at NOUAKCHOTT, have lunch then go see the market, the tent market, and the Port. Then you go for some rest and then have dinner. Later transfer to the airport.
